About the free consultation
Yes, completely. There is no charge for your initial consultation at Nexus Orthodontics, and no payment is required at the visit. This includes the clinical examination, the digital scan, the cost discussion, and all the time you need with Dr. Fung. You pay nothing until — and unless — you decide to start treatment.
If you have dental insurance, bring your insurance card (front and back) — we'll review your orthodontic benefits at no charge. If you have prior X-rays or orthodontic records, bring those too. Otherwise, just bring yourself and your questions. You can also download and complete our patient intake forms in advance from our Getting Started page to save time on arrival.
Absolutely not. Your consultation is purely informational — a chance for us to meet you, for you to meet us, and to lay out everything clearly so you can make the right decision for yourself. Many patients choose to go home, think it over, and come back when they're ready. There is no pressure at any stage.
Of course — we encourage it. For children and teens in particular, we love having parents in the room so everyone hears the same information. For adult patients, bringing a partner or family member is completely welcome. The more people involved in the conversation, the better the decisions you'll make together.

Yes — the free consultation is available for patients of all ages. We recommend children have their first orthodontic check-up at age 7, or at the first sign of a potential issue.
