Clear or Gold (Iconix) Braces

The traditional braces are metal or clear and, tried and true, are still the most popular option for orthodontic care - for kids, teens, or adults.

When we typically think of braces, people think of these - the traditional metal blocks that are fixed to the front of your teeth with a wire threaded through the brackets. The traditional braces come in two types: metal or clear. The pressure from the tightened wire will gradually shift the teeth into the proper, desired positions.  At Nexus, instead of the traditional stainless steel (metal) braces, we offer our patients premium “gold brackets”.  These braces are Iconix stainless steel champagne colored brackets which offer the best of both worlds – the durability of stainless steel and aesthetics of “white gold”.   When matched with metal wire and clear ligatures, Iconix offers a complete patient-pleasing cosmetic system that requires literally no sacrifice on your part.

Because everyone is unique, throughout the duration of your treatment, you’ll be working closely with your team of experts to adjust your care plan as needed, if needed. This way, we can give you the ideal treatment for you. After all, you deserve custom care.

Braces vs Invisalign — Which is right for you?

Braces may be ideal if:

  • You have complex alignment or bite issues

  • You want a treatment that doesn’t rely on daily compliance

  • You’re looking for a highly precise, fixed option

Invisalign may be ideal if:

  • You prefer a removable, nearly invisible option

  • Your orthodontic needs are mild to moderate

  • You want more flexibility with eating and hygiene

At Nexus Orthodontics, we don’t push one option over another. Our goal is to recommend the treatment that best fits your clinical needs and lifestyle.

At Nexus Orthodontics, we provide braces to patients from New Hyde Park, Garden City, Floral Park, Mineola, Syosset, Plainview, Jericho, and surrounding areas. Our office is conveniently located with easy parking and flexible scheduling for school-aged patients and working adults.
