Nexus (nex-us; 'nek-səs)
Nexus (nex-us; 'nek-səs) is defined as a link, or a connection. Although Dr. Shauna has always felt the correlation between self-esteem, confidence, and a brighter smile has been relevant, after having raised two teenagers in the age of social media, she feels that this correlation is even more prominent. Access to smartphones and the habitual instant gratification has created a highly pressured social schema for today's teenagers and adults, filled with anxiety and judgement.
Dr. Shauna and her team strive to create a space where this anxiety can melt away and where judgement is not welcome, allowing for her patients — the heart of Nexus — to flourish.

Dr. Shauna Fung is the entrepreneurial spirit and the woman behind Nexus Orthodontics. For Dr. Shauna, orthodontic treatment is not just about straightening teeth; it is also about inspiring confidence and empowering her patients to bring out the best version of themselves.
A mother of two, a partner, and a daughter of Chinese immigrants, Dr. Shauna brings her empathy, her compassion, and her gentle expertise to each of her appointments everyday.
